Data collection of buildings in Brașov was carried out between 2 and 6 November 2023. This took place
as part of the activities of the three-year Erasmus+ project Strategic Partnerships in Higher Education –
Intelligent Methods for Structure, Elements and Materials (acronym: IM4StEM). More than 25 students
from the second and third year of UnitBv took part, coordinated by Prof Dorin Radu and Prof Christiana
Cazacu from Transilvania University in Brașov. Prof Marijana Hadzima-Nyarko and Prof Emmanuel Karlo
Nyarko from J. J. Strossmayer University in Osijek also took part in the activity.
Data was collected from over 110 buildings – more than 1500 features – from 4 different areas of the city
of Brașov – from the historic centre (with various buildings from the 19th century) as well as from urban
development areas.
Part of the selection of buildings was carried out together with the Association of Designers of Building
Structures, with its representative in Brașov County – Eng. Lucian Rozorea.
